Formed in February 2007, the goal of WCAP is to provide simple and effective ways for residents of Wakefield to help
reduce carbon emissions and save money, using compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs) as the immediate
method. WCAP is also encouraging the Town of Wakefield to appoint an
Energy Commission to help the town research and procure resources that will
reduce the town's energy costs
